The news of Ritsu's dismissal comes less than 24 hours after Cloud9's exit from the Frankfurt Major at the hands of Alliance. Cloud9 had an unfortunate groupstage, losing ultimately to LGD Gaming to put them into the lower bracket. They were then eliminated earlier today in a best of 1 match. Since Read More »

Alliance beat Team Empire to qualify for WCA 2015

    By PatrickBateman on 0

After a long week of many open qualifier games, Alliance has come out victorious, securing their place at the World Cyber Arena 2015. With only the top team being offered a place at the LAN in China, Alliance denied Team Empire's hopes by beating them 2-1. Along with their victory in the European qualifier for the Frankfurt Major, Alliance have two great opportunities to show they are back before the end of 2015. The TI3 champions have had a rocky time for most of this year, but since finalising their Read More »

Nanyang Championship Grand Final draft analysis: Secret vs. VG

    By PatrickBateman on 0

So we saw the Secret/Vici Gaming match up in the Upper Bracket with Secret taking the 2-0, which makes these Grand Final drafts all the more interesting. Just a few things before we get into the GF drafting that we saw in the UB games: Although Secret won the series 2-0, it was a really close couple of games that really could have gone VG’s way at any point. The first thing to note is that Alchemist was not banned in either of the games. This meant that VG grabbed it in game 1, but actually ended Read More »

Presumably they will keep the same roster, but nothing is confirmed as of yet. They are set to make an official announcement shortly.   According to an insider in the DotA 2 scene and a source on the DotaBlast website, the players will be reforming under a new brand. It was reported that, "The letters on the Read More »

Team Secret first team through to Nanyang grand final

    By PatrickBateman on 0

Team Secret have secured their spot in the Nanyang Championship grand finals, by defeating Vici Gaming 2-0 in a thrilling best of 3 series. Although the all star European team managed to defeat the Chinese cleanly without losing a game, that was by no means the story of the series.  Both games were extremely close and could have ultimately gone to either side. In fact it was very surprising that there wasn't a 3rd game in the series after the calibre of DotA that was on display in Singapore today Read More »

The team has not seen much success since their great underdog run at TI5. By PatrickBateman on 0

In the last week Na'Vi has both disbanded, announced they will be signing a new roster and finally played with a squad that resembled the last one. The organisation said that they would be keeping DotA 2 poster boy Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin and outstanding newcomer Akbar ‘SoNNeikO’ Butaev and testing new players for the other spots, but it now looks like they have brought back Gleb ‘Funn1k’ Lipatnikov to the roster as well. Earlier today the Ukrainian squad played Read More »
