Black Desert: Working with Character Creation and the Unique Morphing Feature
Your constellation relates to the in game relation with NPC's, allowing the player to interact with them more intimately if their constellations align correctly. This all relates to special features in game, allowing NPC's to assist and reward you more for certain tasks, and having them do special tasks for you. It's a quick selection feature of the character creation, but it's a major choice if you plan to do more than PvE and PvP in game.
The character creator itself is very well made, allowing the user to make a plethora of modifications not just to the features of the character, but to the model itself. This includes being able to morph regions of the characters face, as well as parts of their body, expanding, shrinking, and fitting their muscular structure to allow their appearance to be much more unique, rather than cookie cutter bodies differentiated by their clothing alone. It also allows you to get very creative with the characters face, as the original facial model you're given can be changed to any aspect, allowing you to take a character such as the ranger, and give them a more masculine look to them, or the giant, and make him look like a plus sized baby.
With such creativity, the tattoos and markings leave a lot to be desired, with all of them predesigned by Pearl Abyss, making the choice of a tattoo give your character a more mirrored feel to others, regardless of color choices or shading. A few tribal looking markings, scars, and insignia's are nothing to gawk at, but its unfair to say that this takes away from the creation at all.
A lot of good looking characters are going to come out of this character creator, with players who spend most of their introduction just on this screen having the ability to now shape and morph their personal character, they're going to spend hours carefully crafting their hero. Or, they will be like me, and immediately turn the giant class into a look alike of Hercules Satan from the DragonBall series, topped off with a sweet afro.
