ArcheAge Closed Beta to Begin July 17th
The wildly anticipated Sandbox focused MMORPG, ArcheAge, kicks off its closed beta on July 17th. This means that those who have paid for a founders pack but didn't quite spring for the $149.99 package will finally get their taste of the sandbox, class-fluid, heavy hitting MMO.
It looks as though they will be hosting beta "Events" that last 3-5 days and progress will be saved throughout these events. The beta will kick off with the first event: A Brighter Age. Closed Beta Event 1 (CBE1) will run from Thursday, July 17 (10:00 AM PDT) to Monday, July 21 (10:00 AM PDT).
ArcheAge has been in alpha for the better part of a year now, and it's surprising they haven't made the move sooner. If the twitch streams are any indication, the game is already quite polished and fairly de-bugged. The beta should be quite an experience!
If you haven't yet jumped on the hype train and are looking to take to the high seas, don an eyepatch, and fight some impossibly large sea monsters, access to the closed beta events can be purchased here.
