Good news for all WoW fans! Bill Westenhofer, VFX Director for Life of Pi, will join the team of WoW movie. And this is not an April Fool’s joke that it was Nick Carpenter the Vice President of Blizzard Entertainment announced the news on Twitter.

Westenhofer has been VFX directors for many fantasy films including The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Elf and Men in Black 2; leading hundreds of digital artists on the Golden Compass won him an Academy Award. And most recently he led the team at Rhythm and Hues Studios won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects of Life of Pi.

We could infer that WoW movie is making progress and its goal of running on 2015 is not a dream. Earlier this year Blizzard announced that WoW movie would be directed by Duncan Jones best known for his work on Moon and Source Code. And Sam Raimi the Veteran director quit since the Script was vetoed by Blizzard.
