World of Warplanes Update 1.4 & E3 2014 Trailer
Wargaming recently released a new update for World of Warplanes. Version 1.4 is now available and features new tier VI premium aircraft, two new maps, new modules, an improved matchmaker and a client separation system.
Each nation received a new Tier VI aircraft ranging from Lightweight Fighters to a sturdier Heavy Fighter available on the U.S. tech tree.
Update 1.4 also brings two new winter maps of different size and weather conditions. The smaller Winter War map is intended for Tier I-V battles while Hidden Airbase covers a larger area giving enough space for high-tier and jet-vs-jet battles.
The Improved Matchmaker has more flexible mechanics, a better overall balance of individual planes in a battle in terms of their type, tier and nation, and a greater focus on an even number of Flights in a battle. The new system will also reduce the chance of being the lowest-tier plane in a battle for multiple battles in a row.
The SD & HD Client Separation is a new system that splits the client into two versions. The SD-version was made for those who prefer to play the game on ‘Low’ or ‘Medium’ graphical settings while the HD-version will continue to feature the full range of graphical options, for those who want to play World of Warplanes on ‘High’ and ‘Very High’ settings.
