Final Fantasy XIV attracted the crowds at E3. The new gameplay mechanics in A Realm Reborn that players concern about very much is no doubt FATE which stands for Full Active Time Event.

FATEs appear all over the game world. The producer Naoki Yoshida said that they plan to release around 300 FATEs in the FATE system.

You can find some blue circles appearing on map in game where FATEs appear. Fate is a kind of "dynamic events". There are many different types of FATEs. Some appear regularly, some are triggered by talking to a NPC and some occur randomly.

Some FATEs can be joined by simply stepped into the area and the objectives will appear on the duty list automatically. After duty completed, the rewards will be distributed according to overall participation and involvement.

A large-scale FATE includes five separate FATEs. After the large-scale FATE, a rescue FATE would possibly appear which depends on whether you succeed in the previous FATEs or not. There is a max level restriction in the rescue FATE and players can lower their level temporarily to join the FATE.

A Realm Reborn new jobs and class video has also been revealed on the official website. New jobs include Arcanist, Scholar and Summoner.

The game will be released on Aug. 27 for PS3 and PC and PS4 version will be launched in 2014. Pre-order and sign up for beta now is available on the official website with special bonuses.
