SMITE's Siege Update Features New God, New Game Model and More
Today, Hi-Rez Studio has now announced the upcoming update to its third-person, action-oriented MOBA, SMITE, which will introduce a highly anticipated game model called Siege, a new god named Osiris, a new league ranking system, a wide range of balance tweaks and more.
Siege Model is the major part of this
patch. Based on a two-lane 5v5 Conquest map, Siege features that two teams earn
points by killing players and minions to contribute towards the spawning of
Siege weapons which is used to push the lanes and destroy enemy objectives.
Concerning the new god Osiris, in the revealed video, he seemingly looks like a
melee warrior focused on locking down foes with slows and stuns, while his ultimate
prevents them from healing and his passive lets him dive past blocking
The new League system is divided into
six tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Master, with each
league being subdivided into five divisions. Players earn League Points for
each victory, and every 100 League Points moves you up a division or a league.
The League Points will be reset to zero every two months.
