The Most Anticipated Mobile Games of GDC 2014

GDC 2014 has ended, during this event we've met various new games for different platforms. Compared with last year's GDC, we could see more mobile games at GDC 2014, that's a happy thing. Here I collected some most anticipated mobile games that has been shown at GDC 2014, maybe you'll be interested.



Implosion is a 3D action mobile game emphasizing blow feedback, distinctive monsters, and bosses with various traits. Producer of Implosion, Mingyang You revealed Implosion is slated for a summer release, they already have completed 70% of the game (about 10-15 levels finished), and when release, the game will contain over 30 levels. World of Tanks Blitz

World of Tanks Blitz

Wargaming recently announced their new MMO mobile game World of Tanks Blitz's closed beta test will start on iOS platform at GDC 2014. World of Tanks Blitz is a mobile free-to-play team-based MMO action game dedicated to fierce tank combat. Puzzle game Framed, inspired by comic books, was just demoed by Loveshack Entertainment at GDC 2014. In this game, players must rearrange panels in order to get the protagonist through them without being detected by cops. The 50-or-so levels will require much thought and knowledge of perspective to figure out just how to navigate them. The World HD

The World HD

The World HD, a martial arts APRG developed by one of Chinese top game developers NetEase has been shown at last week's GDC 2014. The game utilizes 3D graphics which are very delicate and smooth, and the skill effects are also very gorgeous. The World HD contains 4 kinds of classes, each of them has its own visual special effects that makes the battles more vivid. More details about the game you can read this article.

Godfire: Rise of Prometheus

Godfire: Rise of Prometheus made its first debut at last year’s Gamescom. As the combat is built off in Real Boxing, it allows players to enter into duels with groups of enemies, with dodging and blocking being the only movement in combat, with light and heavy attacks, along with special attacks that become available as the rage bar fills up. In addition, when adventuring in game, players will be able to meet plenty of large bosses inspired by Greek mythology to fight against.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

On this year's GDC, as another one of the most famous comic book adaption, Gameloft's next game Captain America: The Winter Soldier has attracted everyone's eyes. According to TouchArcade's first hand impression, Captain America: The Winter Soldier surprised them with the incredible part which "is just how much better it looks than Gameloft's previous similar games. Full shadows, reflections, and more." It's free to play, and of course with a item micro-transaction inside.

5 Upcoming Mobile MMO by Gamevil

During this week’s GDC, Gamevil’s showcasing five new games that will soon be released worldwide at their booth. It’s worth noting that the five new titles (Zenonia Online, Dragon Blaze, Dungeon Link, Elements: Epic Heroes and Mark of the Dragon) are all online mobile games supporting multiplayer gameplay modes, maybe Gamevil thinks hardcore online multiplayer games will be big in 2014.
