Capcom Cancelled Mega Man Online, Officially
The beloved Mega Man franchise won't be able to make it to go to the shore of MMO world. Capcom just confirmed the cancellation of the Mega Man Online project that announced in 2010 and co-developed with Neowiz Games.
Also called Rockman Online, the MMO had stayed in silence for a long time although Neowiz claimed the game was close to finish. Report said that the cease of the development was the result of an agreement between Capcom and Neowiz. "Both companies have continually discussed to find agreeable points on quality, development time, communication and etc," according to Neowiz. "Ultimately, both companies have agreed to stop the development of Rock Man Online early last November."
(Hopefully Bless won't end up like Mega Man Online)
Neowiz was reported to reduce 20% of its employees in late 2012 as a result of restructuring. The company shut down some of its MMOs and projects, and Mega Man Online was said to be one of them. Currently, the company is working on anticipated title Bless.
