TERA M was originally called TERA Dark Squall which was first announced in 2015. Recently Netmarble Games announced to launch the next-gen mobile MMORPG developed by Bluehole Squall in South Korea this November and in global market in 2018. The publisher also detailed the gameplay systems and class information.

Except for the concept, almost everything planned for TERA Dark Squall has been changed in TERA M, according to Bluehole Squall CTO Woong Chul Ko, “while most mobile games relies on gear, items and combat power, TERA M does not.” He says TERA M is about authentic PC MMORPG experience.

The story of TERA M takes place 1000 years before TERA PC version. The story is dark and many characters die or turn “dark”.

The auto-fight is in TERA M, and it’s something any mobile MMO needs to have. The difference is TERA M has auto fight, semi-auto fight, and manual fight, and it allows players to choose the type they want. For instance, in a raid, players won’t survive if they use auto fight.

You can switch between different character classes and progress them but Netmarble didn’t specify how this will work. We only know that the purpose of doing so is to encourage players to have, say a priest an a tank at the same time so they don't have to worry not being able to find a party.

The game will use megaserver that can house hundreds of thousands of players. With megaserver players can play with their friends in quests, battlegrounds, GvG, and territory conquest. Netmarble Games said the megaserver will be 10 times bigger than a server of Lineage 2 Revolution

Each class has its own evasion skill and they can equip consecutive skills in each skill slot. At launch the 6 playable character classes are the following.

Elin - Priest
Human (male) - Slayer
Human (female) - Brawler
Aman (male) - Lancer
High Elf (female) - Archer
Popori - Alchemist

Popori Alchemist is the brand-new class that isn’t available in TERA. At first the team wanted to make a Wizard instead of Alchemist but they believed TERA M needed some “new stuff” so they made Alchemist. In the future there will be more unique classes in TERA M.

Since TERA M is very relied on party play and the cooperation of tank, DPS, and healer, it’s almost impossible to solo a boss monster. Read details here.

TERA M is free to play and you can purchase items from in-app purchase. You don’t have to make the purchase because all materials sold in the cash store can be obtained in the dungeons.

What do you think of the game? Do you want to play it when it comes to the global market?

Thank
You!
