Bluehole's MMORPG Project W Is Not Dead but It's Still in Very Early Phase
Bluehole's Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has been one of the most successful video game of 2017 and it makes sense Bluebole will invest more into this game. But MMO players want to know what happen to Project W, the other new title the company announced in November 2016. Kakao Games announced to publish Project W in the west last year, making people think the game would come in 2017.
It's been more than 10 months and there's nothing about the game from Kakao Games or Bluehole. Is the game cancelled? Apparently the game is still in development and it's in very early phase. According to Bluehole's job posting updated in July 2017, they are hiring for multiple positions in the developer team of Project W, including animator, character artist, asset artist, UI artist, combat / balance designer, TA, and server engineer and others.
There's no clue what kind of game Project W is, except that it will be powered by Unreal Engine 3, has impressive graphics, and has advanced MMO technologies.
