Recommended MMO/Multiplayer games to play
Ubisoft has several blockbuster games (Watch Dog, The Division, The Crew) to drop to the market, and they also have some not-so-hardcore free-to-play games to entertain gamers who want to kill some time — The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is this kind of game I’m talking about. I know this game is not strictly the type of MMORPG that you’ve played a lot, but it’s still a game you can play with or against your friends.
The game is a mixture of Diablo meets Dungeon Keeper, in the developer’s words, and in other words, it’s a hybrid of hack-n-slash experience and tower defending. For the offensive aspect, you will choose one of the 4 heroes to attack and plunder other players’ castles. There is The Knight, a heavily-armored melee juggernaut, The Archer, a ranged character with a deadly bow in his hand and a loyal falcon at his side, The Mage, the spell mater with powerful magics and control ability, and finally The Runaway, a mid-range female rocker who can only be unlocked through purchase. Choose a hero that suits your style and you are off to slay the monsters wave by wave, get through the traps your friends have prepared for you, and finally take the resource back to your castle. Many Diablo elements are put into this game: point and click system, camera angle, UI, gear, etc. As you level up your hero, you get new skills and will be able to use more powerful gear.
The defending aspect requires some
strategies, as budget and layouts are involved. Different facilities help you
in different ways and you have to decide which one should be upgraded now and
which one can wait. You can also deploy monsters and traps to damage the
invaders but again you have to think about where you position your armies and
where to place the traps. Of course, whether to use a trap or a group of
creatures in a location is another thing worth your attention.
