Hearthstone Frozen Throne Recommended Budget Deck: Lich King Murloc Paladin
It has been 4 days since the Hearthstone's sixth expansion Knights of the Frozen Throne went live. The meta is still forming while some decks have already stood out from the rests such as DK Jade Ramp Druid, N’Zoth Kazakus Priest and Lich Evolve Shaman. However with the rise of Gul’dan Control Warlock, the ranking match’s meta will be changed very fast.
If you are new to Hearthstone, you may not get enough playable cards. Don’t worry since we will introduce some budget decks which could serve you well from rank 20 to rank5. If you want to hit Legendary, it will be much more difficult.
The budget DK Murloc Paladin deck fit well for current meta. I have played 23 games by using this deck and it turns out 19 wins – 4 losses with a 83% winning rate. It was quite impressive, right? So let’s take a look at how this deck works for different stages of the game.
Lich Murloc Paladin
In this deck, we only have 4 Frozen Throne’s new cards, namely Righteous Protector, Bonemare, The Lich King and Skelemancer.
Righteous Protector: Taunt and Divine Shield make it become a very good card for early stage board control. Righteous Protector + Rallying Blade is also a nice combo.
The Skelemancer is a very good counter card for AOE skills. In addition, you can also use Blessing of the Kings, Spikeridged Steed and Bonemare to buff it and force your opponents to target it.
The Bonemare is the most powerful common card in Frozen Throne expansion, and you can add it to every midrange deck.
The Lich King is one of the best new cards in Frozen Throne expansion and it can be used in different decks, so I highly recommend you to get one if you don’t have one.
Early stage: Utilize Righteous Protector, Murloc cards and Rallying Blade to control the board and reduce opponent hero’s HP.
Middle stage: Try your best to make full use of Sunkeeper Tarim and Gentle Megasaur, and then snowball the advantage.
End game: Use Skelemancer, Bonemare, The Lich King and Tirion Fordring to end the game.
Murloc Tidercaller --> Spellbreaker, Aldor Peacekeeper
