Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Officially Launches; NA Server Under DDoS Attacks
Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood expansion released today on PC, Mac and Playstation 4. You can purchase the expansion on the official site or Steam. Square Enix also confirmed that NA servers' network difficulties since head start was because of DDoS attacks from an anonymous third-party. The team is still working on fixing it as of now.
Our technical staff is taking every possible measure to address this issue but the attack is still continuing to take place by changing their methods at every moment. We will continue to monitor and work on recovery from every possible angle.
The expansion continues the story of the Warrior of Light in its mission to free Ala Mhigo, territory dominated by the Garlean Empire 20 years ago. Players will also travel for the first time to the far east lands of Doma and Kugane. In addition, Final Fantasy XIV receives two new jobs - Red Mage and Samurai. Level cap has been increased from 60 to 70, and new beast tribes and primals along with new dungeons are added to the game.
