Fractured Is a New Sandbox MMO Promises Lots of Fun Features
The game sets on the planet called Syndesia and promises many unique gameplay experience. Like it claims itself "the first MMO where the race you belong to has an actual impact on game mechanics, from the type of society you live in to the ways you can interact with other players." And it strips away the conventional RPG level and skill systems you’ve seen in many games and introduces in the Knowledge System, with which you get rewarded for your courage and cleverness, not for the hours spent in killing mobs. The action combat system involves aiming, dodging and mastering over 400 abilities and 40 unique status effects.
"The core of the Fractured progression is that a character's strengths and weaknesses must be determined during their creation," said Jacopo Gallelli, CEO of Dynamight Studios. "After this, the player will be on a journey to improve their knowledge and reputation of their character, mainly through exploration and social interactions."
"Moreover, we have always felt that the sandbox MMO genre discourages online gamers who don’t appreciate hostile interactions," stated Gallelli. "Because of this, we have designed a unique universe that will allow players to choose whether to start in an open-PvP environment, a solely cooperative one or a mix of the two, according to their race and planet of choice." Is this going to be another MMO that promises a lot of fun but ends up delivering a game that looks just like many other games? What do you think?
