Farpoint May Be a PSVR Killer Game With New Aim Controller Accessory
After several months of waiting, the sci-fi shooter Farpoint is released on PlayStation VR on May 16 in NA and EU regions. Alongside with the game, Sony is also launching a new accessory, the PlayStation Aim controller which will not only support Farpoint but most of FPS VR games in the future.
Setting on a mysterious desert planet, Farpoint is a FPS game that allows players to have the full length of storyline and the most immersive shooting experience in the VR world. Casting you in the role of one of two scientists left stranded on an alien world, you need to face tons of bug-like enemies and find a way home.
Unlike traditional FPS games in VR, Farpoint isn’t a game that you can only stay in some fixed place and shoot all the time, but with the freely moving gameplay, it is easier to get the motion sickness for some people. Besides, in Farpoint you'll be able to aim and fire while holding a controller that feels like what you are seeing through the PlayStation VR headset.
Apart from single player mode, Farpoint also supports two players co-op campaign in which you and your best friend can explore and fight together. If you are interested about this game, you can pick PlayStation Aim Controller and Farpoint up in a bundle with the price of $79.99.
