Legend Giant Priest Deck Without Legendary Card
Dear guys, share you with a Giant Priest deck. Actually, I am not the creator of this deck. It was created by Timbolt who got the No.1 in MLG #19 and I just made some amendment for playing against rush / murlock decks in the early game.
In this deck, I replace Northshire cleric with Loot Hoarder and Novice Engineer which allow you to benefit from their battlecry and battlerattle without any complicated strategies. Northshire cleric is notable for her triggers from any minion being healed. To prevent you from triggering her effect, you opponents always try to kill her in their turn or don’t hurt your minions until they can remove Northshire cleric directly. If you drop her in 1 turn, your opponents will drop 3/2 or spells to kill her, so I pick Loot Hoarder and Novice Engineer for instead. However, I think nothing is better than dropping Nat Pagle <+ Coin in T1. With 4 HP, it is fairly hard to kill early game (turn 2) and, throughout the game, can gain a draw advantage over your opponent while acting as a wall. Holy Smite and SWP can answer most minions dropped early on, except Faerie Dragon, so I think it is not hard for you to survive from Murlock / rush decks in the early game.
It assembles in many ways with Giant Warlock – Twilight Drake, Mountain Giant and Molten Giant. For most rush / murlock decks, they always try to kill your hero before they run out of steam, so it is not difficult for you to drop dual Molten Giant and Sunfury Protector / Argus in T5 or T6. And I believe that dual giant wall would definitely protect you from being OTK by Leeroy Jenkins. Well, if possible dual Ancient Watchers and Sunfurry would be a happy beginning for anyone. By going Thoughtsteal in T3, Twilight Drake would be a 4/5 or 4/6 creature on the board. But when you are playing again Druid, he will cast Earth Shock on this guy, so bait out this card before going Twilight Drake.
Since Priest is weak to any creatures with 4 attack, so I pick Holy Fire to answer any 4 attack minions. In addition, applying Cabal Shadow Priest on some hot minions like Harvest Golem or Keeper of the Grove is a mulligan in most cases.
For me, I always save Tinkmaster Overspark for some legendaries like Ysera. If you silence Ysera, it is still a 4/12 monster on the board, so I would like to apply Tinkmaster on Ysera, but save spell breaker for Sylvanas Windrunner and Cairne Bloodhoof. I am not sure to finish a game before T10 with this deck, so I pick one MC for a big guy which may be a potential threat for me in the next turn.
