Black Desert Russian Version on Steam Greenlight, and That Looks Very Weird
This game is distributed in Russia by our company. We are an official publisher - GameNet. We have all rights to publish, distribute and promote this game on SteamAnd what makes the Steam community think that's a fake and stolen game is that there's no any announcement related to Steam Greenlight on the game's Russian official site and social network.
For real?And the publisher responded:
An official Publisher does not need to go through Greenlight, they can just contact Valve to put Games on steam.
Bad Troll is bad.
I understand the way you think about, but it was also suprise for us, that to distribute the game like Black Desert in Steam we should pass Greenlight first. We have long discussion with Tom Giardino and the official Valve position sounds like: 'Developers who are interested in bringing their games to steam should still submit them to steam greenlight.' We have shared your concerns about mentioned and I hope Valve will tell us the way we could confirm the official status of this Greenlight request.I am not making any judgement now, but this does look very weird to me. What do you think?
Thanks for your understanding!
The Black Desert post made on Steam for the Greenlight campaign has been removed.
