Black Desert's "No IP Block, No English" Server Starts Open Beta in January
Pearl Abyss announced today the first "global version" of Black Desert, the Taiwanese version will start open beta on January 25, 2017. The Taiwanese version is published by Pearl Abyss themselves and it has no IP block, so it's actually a global version for all countries where the game is not currently available, but only supports Chinese language. It's worth mentioning that the open beta is only opened to those who have preordered the game.
The Taiwan version is buy-to-play like the NA/EU version. Those who own the "Luxurious Limited Editon" ($80 USD) can get a headstart on January 11, 2017, and those who purchase the "Essential Edition" ($32 USD) can get a headstart on January 18, while players who purchase the "Starter Edition" or have a guess pass can log in on January 25.
