Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood Expansion Gets a Release Date
Stormblood is the second expansion for Final Fantasy XIV which was announced in October. Now Square Enix announced it will be launched on June 20, 2017, with the pre-reserves starting on January 24.
In Stormblood, one of the novelties is the possibility of swimming, something that the characters initiate automatically when they enter the water. It will be possible to dive but only in the areas of the new expansion, and there's no underwater combat.
According to the latest information from Square Enix, the main theme will be Nobuo Uematsu, and Stormblood will entice players with a new raid.
"The Bend of Time - Omega," which introduces Omega Weapon in Final Fantasy XIV, is a new raid that will be introduced with the June 4.0 update.
The Japanese company also announced that Yasumi Matsuno, a talented director of games like Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII, was invited to create new raids of the alliance. The first one will be "Return to Ivalice".
