Priest Rush Deck - Finish Game Within 7 Mana Drop
Priest once was my favorite class, but since he is quite weak in low mana matches, he always loses the board control before he begins to make a burst. Currently, most legend Priest decks are built around mid or late control and always built with massive legendaries that you could not offer. For classes like Rogue and Warlock, they can build some rush decks or swarm decks to fight for legend, while it is a lot difficult for Priest to play like this way. If you want to get rid of turtle tempo of Priest, just try this Priest rush deck, which makes you to finish a game within 7 round.
With decent mana curve, it won’t be difficult for you to drop cards smoothly in the early on; however, downside always comes with advantage. Actually, since it will quickly let you run out of steam in 7 mana or higher mana matches, turtle strategies and board control are not your core idea. To be honest, most rush decks are not put their weight on control; instead, they always roughly go your face in each round and deal an enormous last hit to finish a game although their opponents gain board control finally. So, for this Priest rush deck, the core idea is just dropping the cards in each round and roughly hit the face, don't make a trade unless when you have to. All in all: kill your opponents before they kill you.
How to play?
It has only one legendary card which can be replaced by any fatties with charge. Leper Gnome is a decent beginning and always deals 4 damage to opponent if he or she kills it with face. With Stealth, Worgen Inflitrator is likely to survive to the next turn before being killed, and if possible, coupled with Youthful Brewmaster, you can steal it again to prevent it to be traded in the next turn. Well, applying Youthful Brewmaster on other minions with battlecry or charge allows you to benefit their effect once again. For example, coupled with Leeroy in 10 mana, you can deal 12 damage to your opponent or cast the effect on Ironbeak Owl to allow you to silence another taunt, making you freely to attack any characters on the board.
Compared with Dark Iron Dwarf, Abusive Sergeant offers the same effect but allows you to do more with less mana cost early on. Abusive Sergeant + Leeroy or Youthful Brewmaster + Abusive Sergeant + Leeroy are excellent combo for high mana matches. Arcane Golem is a relatively cheap summon but comes at the price of giving your opponent a mana crystal, so don’t drop it too early until the stage that it downside won’t be a big threat for you.
This is a relatively minor quibble, but it's kind of weird that there is literally no class in the game that has fewer spells affected by spell damage than priests. Mind Blast is one of the only cards which can be used by priests to 'nuke' opponents. Mind Blast x2 can deal 10 damage for only 4 mana; improved with Spell Damage or in combination with other spells or minion attacks, a priest with the right cards can easily take a low-health opponent by surprise. Similar with it, Holy Fire also deal 5 dama with 5 health to your hero, but save it for fatties dropped in mid stage or cast on minions which will be a big threat for you, only cast it on the face when you think there is no big board thread for you. Playing Shadowform for the first time will transform the priest's hero power Lesser Heal into Mind Spike, allowing you to deal 2 damage to most characters on the board. Since you can finish a match within 7 mana, dual Shadowform won’t be a necessary. The usage of Holy Nova is fare to explain, you can save it if you grab the coin to answer rush decks like yours.
Weakness: I think the biggest threat for this deck would be spell-oriented decks with heavy AoEs built in. Forked Lightning, Hellfire and Consecration would easily wipe them out from the board. Anyway, it is definitely a good deck for casual if you are not a ladder fan.
