Legend Shaman Deck Without Any Legendary Cards
Hey guys I just wanted to share with you a new deck that always works well when playing against aggro decks or murlock decks. I've been testing it out quite a bit in casual and rank (between ranks 3-5) and have had pretty decent success with it.
It utilizes the burst potential that shamans have, for example Bloodlust. With massive AoE in both early and mid stage, you can answer well against Murlock decks and aggro decks and protect your hero surviving from heavy rush. Usually, you can finish a game within 9 rounds which hinders your opponent to drop some fatties like Ysera or super control spells like Mine Control to gain board control. In addition, Hex and Earth Shots are decent solution for hot picking legendaries like Sylvanas Windrunner and Cairne Bloodhoof. Saving Hex for legendaries would be mulligan for anyone; however, if matches don’t go your way, casting Earth Shots on legendaries is not bad, either.
How to play?
I am happy to talk about its versatile combos / strategies in early and mid stage. Injured Blademaster + Circle of Healing are a notable combo for Priest to build strong deck control early on. Well, this deck allows you to do so if you coupled Injured Blademaster with Ancestral Healing, which create a 4/7 Taunt to remit enormous damage for your hero in 3 mana drop. Either way, go the traditional combo: Ancient Watcher + Sunfury Protector. With high HP, both Ancient Watcher and Injured Blademaster are able to survive to the mid stage or even late game, giving you decent deck controls. If you couldn’t make these combos early on, what should you do? That is the reason why I say it is versatile! Save Forked Lighting, Lighting Bolt, Rockbiter Weapon and Lighting Storm when playing against swarm class like Shaman, Warlock, Hunter and Rogue. If you are the second player, saving Feral Spirit is OK. Although Earth Shock can answer well many 1 HP minions with Deathrattle and shield, I would like to save it for Legendaries if I miss Hex.
Generally, if you can stick your minions or always keep your opponent’s board clean before T3, you just win. For most Swarm decks or Murlock decks, they feature strong flooding before T4 and control the board in T5 and finish game in T6 or T7. Since massive AoE spells built in, you always make a 1 for 2 trade early on, which makes opponents run out of their steam before they can burst. With heavy taunts (or taunt creating combos), you always can survive from heavy rush (you opponents sometimes have to cast their spells on your minions to clean the board instead of your hero). For example, if Mage doesn’t apply her Fireball or Polymorph on Injured Blademaster or Ancient Watcher in T4, she will face a big pressure later on. And you just keep sticking your totems in each round, waiting a right change to make a burst.
It is a hyper aggro deck and allows you to clean the board effectively in the early, however, it may run out of steam when playing against Priest turtle decks or Shaman legendary decks or Druid legendary decks. So don’t let your opponents delay the game to their sweet point. If you want to build this deck around turtle style to gain late control, there are some decent replacements for you:
Traditional board control cards: Sylvanas Windrunner and Cairne Bloodhoof. No doubt that there are great favor and pure hatred for you guys if the match meets a hard situation. If you can offer these, don’t hesitate to go. Usually, however, baiting out removals like Hex or Polymorph is my initial plan, which allows me to drop bigger minions like Ragnaros the Firelord and Ysera later on.
Since mate always changes every day, always refresh your decks after you lose games. Well, I also made some amendment for this deck to play against ever changing ladder. If you have any questions about Hearthstone, please leave comments below.
