Developed by Gravity and published by Xindong, Ragnarok Online Mobile kicked off autumn test in China on October 28. I am lucky enough to get a beta key and enjoy most of the gameplay. It’s the first time I have played RO-related game, so I can't compare it with its PC counterpart. But I will give it 9.1/10, there is a lot of unique functions that compared with most mobile MMORPGs.
In this Autumn Test, players have access to five iconic classes and 3 job changes from the PC version: Swordman>Knight>Rune Knight, Mage>Wizard>High Wizard, Archer> Hunter>Sniper, Thief> Assassin> Guillotine Cross, and Acolyte>Priest>High Priest. The studio not only recreate those classic characters on the smaller screen but also enhance with tremendous 3D figures. Once players finish off the Novice Training, they can choose classes according to their play style at Prontera class hall.
There are different dungeon maps. Players can see cracks in various maps which require players to team up together to fix them. Everyday players can challenge the cracks 5 times and gain rare materials and quality equipment. Guild dungeons will award players contribution points which can be used for increasing characters’ abilities.
There is a special achievement system in RO mobile. As a lvl 41 hunter, I have unlocked 5 collection lists, namely, Monsters, Headgears, NPCs, Sceneries, Monster Cards. The more you unlock, the higher adventure exp you will get. When you level up, you will get extra adventure points to learn special skills.
What’s more, world map is also unlockable, which means players need to explore the fantasy world thoroughly. The most impressive part would be using the the 360°Game Camera to take scenery pictures.
