Lineage II: Revolution Will Skip Closed Beta and Launch in Korea Next Month
According to a previous announcement of Netmarble, the developer of Lineage II: Revolution, they will start the closed beta for the game in South Korea on October 13th. However, they changed the plan and decided to skip the closed beta phase and instead launch the game in November.
Netmarble's plan is to simultaneously launch the game for both Android and iOS systems sometime next month. The Unreal Engine 4 mobile MMORPG has drewn a lot of attention from the South Korean players, as over 2 million people have signed up for the beta.
Lineage II: Revolution inherits the core systems that have made Lineage II a popular MMORPG on PC for years. 4 races (Human, Elf, Dark Elf and Dwarf) can be chosen in the mobile MMO, and 6 classes are available for each race. Similar to the PC version, the mobile version features massive siege war that takes place every week. It supports up to 1,600 players fighting on the battlefield at the same time.
The Chinese version is expected for later this year, while the western version is slated for sometime in 2017.
