Age of Wushu 2 - Unreal Engine 4 Details
Snail Games' confirmation that Age of Wushu 2 would be built on the Unreal Engine 4 has had it's first glimmer of quality with a recent blog entry detailing the technology that is being utilized to craft the new sequel, as well as one element that will play an important role in the Sandbox sequel.
It was revealed that plants, which are utilized in the way of crafting resource, medicine, and cuisine (food), will be a large aspect of the world of Age of Wushu 2.
Resource: As a resource, plants will be utilized in the crafting of weapons, horse carts, weapons, furniture, and full-on houses.
Medicinal: They will be an integral ingredient in antidotal, rejuvenative, and recovery liquids.
Food: The most self-explanatory, plants will be used in a wide array of dishes that will grant buffs and different benefits. Be careful of utilizing unknown plants, however, as they could lead to your character being poisoned.
The Legendary 'Thousand Year Ginseng' is noted to be a part of the game, as one of the game's legendary plants. The blog post did not state, however, what it's role or any legendary plant's role will actually be, only that they will be of importance.
The blog also touched on the technological advancement that will evolve the franchise to the next level. Details surrounding the Unreal Engine plugins named Substance, as well as PBS (Physically Based Shading) were also released in this blog, along with 3 screenshots that can be seen at this link.
