Catchmon: The Korean AR Mobile Game Looks Better Than Pokemon Go
As the most popular mobile game of 2016, Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm. Although it lost 12 million players in August, some game developers still want to take the advantage of AR hot. Mgame, Korea-based game developer, announced that a brand new AR mobile game called Catchmon will be available in Q3 2016.
Just like Pokemon Go, players can expect to use the phones’ cameras to show the current environment and overlay virtual creatures on top of it. Players will be able to catch monsters and upgrade them. Location-based services will enable players to use their own monsters to fight with each other. Gym battle is also available in the game. More battle modes will be announced later. Besides the gameplay mentioned above, there will be various bosses in specific regions. Players can team up to challenge these bosses and gain extra rewards.
