World of Warcraft Gets 200,000 New Subscribers in China Thanks to the Film
It’s an unquestioned fact that World of Warcraft’s subscriber numbers are falling in overall, and that’s why Activision Blizzard decided to no longer release subscriber data on this most famous online franchise. With the upcoming Legion expansion, the subscribers of World of Warcraft are expected to embrace another peak.
However, it looks like the Chinese subscribers of World of Warcraft has already started to increase even before the pre-expansion patch. With the huge success of Warcraft movie, the subscribers of Warcraft have already increased around 200 thousand in China. Among all new comers, there are more horde players than Alliance players. Moreover, some of the servers have been plagued with server queues. The Legion expansion is just less than two months away, this strong momentum is supposed to keep growing.
