Black Desert NA/EU IP Block Confirmed by Daum
Sad news for players excluded in the Black Desert NA/EU service countries as a representative from Daum Games Europe has confirmed the ip block on Black Desert on the official forum, stating that according to the terms of service, the territory license agreement with the developer Pearl Abyss is limited to the following areas: Europe (excluding Turkey and part of Russia) and North America (Canada, Mexico and United States of America). That means, if you are living in other regions, you won't be able to play Black Desert.
The reasons behind the ip block could be that Pearl Abyss might want to "target markets such as Turkey, South America or any other region outside of the service territory via different channels."
Since the exposure of the ip block news, players that are going to be affected by this started a petition to remove the ip block but unfortunately, it didn't work as Daum Europe said it is "a conflict of interest with Pearl Abyss" and they hope "to provide clarity on our exact list of countries soon".
