Top 8 MMOs to Look Forward to at Gamescom 2015

8. Torchlight Mobile - Runic Games

Torchlight Mobile

Another title that recently caught our attention is the new Torchlight game, that was announced back in June. This time Runic Games aims for the mobile market, and this won't be just a mobile port, but instead they will deliver a brand new online ARPG.

Torchlight Mobile was originally showed at E3 2015, and is expected to hit iOS and Android devices at the end of the year. The demo that was presented there offered a smooth experience. Controls were in the form of a virtual joystick and they were easy to use, even for Mobile RPG beginners. Besides the usual 2.5D gameplay, players will also experience side scrolling fights in several stages.

The events take place after the original Torchlight and runs parallel with the story of Torchlight II, in a different land where Ember is still being harvested. Players will get to choose from three classes: Warrior, Mage and Engineer (more will come at a later date) before starting their journey, along with their beloved pet.

The quests usually took around 5 to 10 minutes, suiting the casual style of mobile gaming, while the results were rated based on players abillity to complete different objectives. Players will be able to clear dungeons with the help of a friend in a specially designed co-op mode and form a guild as well, while later they will get the option to challenge their enemies or friends in PvP mathches.

Another important feature that was added is the ability system that allows players to create different combinations of skills to create new abilities that generates different effects, to suit their playstile.

As expected, Torchlight Game will be a free to play title, with a soft in-game store (let the whales hunt begin). If you are a part of the mobile generation, or even if you just want to kill some time, this might be the game you were looking for, so don’t miss the presentation at Gamescom 2015.
