On January 31, Shards Online will commence a new phase of testing, which focuses on testing the PVP. In February the test will move on to focus on craft system and other PVE content. If you are interested in this sandbox MMORPG, don't miss the developer livestream on February 7. Around March 2015 the development of two game cards is supposed to complete.
Shards Online aims to create a living, breathing world where player actions have real consequences. You can talk with the NPCs about the latest gossip, hints for adventures, or about the weather. Walk away, and you might find them already moving on to visit the pub or talking with another NPC. Everything is in motion, the dev says, the egg you steal from a dragon today may be the reason she’s attacking a town you left behind tomorrow.
The game utilizes skill-based system instead of class system. You can use whatever skills you learn in the game and improve them by frequently using them. There is resctriction on the number of skills you can learn at one time to encourage you to specialize your role. For more about the game, check out the official site.
