Black Desert Hands-on Impression: Realistic Weather Effects in Closed Beta Test
Black Desert is a sandbox MMORPG title from the developer PearlAbyss. It features open world, castle siege, housing system etc. It is currently in closed beta in Korea. We collected some gameplay videos from Steparu, Black Desert fansite and Inven to show you the realistic weather effects in Black Desert. Unlike other MMOs in which weather system features simply some changes of the cloud shapes, Black Desert shows very impressive weather system.
If it is a sunny day in Black Desert, you will experience the changing of daylight every minute in game. You can feel as if it is cool and quiet at dawn and warm when twilight is falling by the changing of light. At night, the lights glow in the windows of warm houses along the street. It is still dark outside and we can see the dim outline of the houses and some NPCs who get up early in the morning. But in the field, it is so dark that we can hardly see the monsters in the high grass. One day in game is much shorter than that in real life.
Check out the nighttime gameplay and see how dark it will be.
Sometimes, you may meet with bad weather like a shower or a storm.
