Fidelity Of FFXIV On PS4 Is Equivalent To Highest PC Setting
In an interview with Japanese media Game Watch, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Producer Naoki Yoshida told the game's PS4 version will run at 1080p at 60 fps, and its visual fidelity will be equivalent to highest PC settings. He didn't say how good the graphics on PS4 version will be but he confirmed the PS4 version will use some of the new DirectX 11 features.
Currently the game's PS3 version can only run at 720p at 30 fps, and it won't be able to display as many characters as the PC version on the screen. Things will be different on PS4, you can expect the graphics to be comparable to that on high-end PC, and you can see more characters on the screen. PS4 version will be the best platform to play Final Fantasy XIV, provided that Square Enix won't mess up this time.
FFXIV's PS4 version will start beta testing next February when the new console launches in Japan. PS3 players who have purchased the game can transfer their data to PS4 for free.
