After you defeat Kargath, you will step in the Path of Victors. Three Boss are waiting for you here: The
Butcher, Brackenspore, and Tectus. You can challenge any of them. No fixed order for three of them. You can even skip all of them and go to Arcane Sanctum for Twin Ogron straightly. The Butcher is much more difficult than Kargath in heroic difficulty. It’s even harder than Brackenspore, Tectus, and Twin Ogron. So if your team’s average item level is not very high, you had better bypass Butcher. My recommended challenge order is: Kargath→Twin Ogron→Brackenspore or Tectus→ The Buthcer→ Ko'ragh→Imperator.

However, if you have some excellent DPS in your team, fight with Butcher will become very easy.

Recommended team composition:
2 Tanks  Protection Warrior have special use in this fight. I will talk about it latter. That is OK to choose
other Tanks if you do not have Protection Warrior.
4-7 Healers  As the beat single target Healers, Holy Paladin is the MVP in this fight. Bring one or two in you team.
The more Damage Dealers, the better  More Damage Dealers will reduce the DPS pressure. If your have a 10-people team (2T 3H 5D), the percentage of Damage Dealers is 50%. If your team have 30 people(2T 7H 21D), the percentage of Damage Dealers is 70%. The average requirement of DPS will
reduce in team who have more people.

Abilities
The Butcher’s abilities are quite simple. Only couple of them require you to pay your attention. No
adds in this fight (normal/heroic difficulties)

For Tanks

Heavy Handed
This ability required two Tanks stand very closely to take the damage together. Melee DPS must not stand near to Tanks within 5 yards.
The Cleaver and The Tenderizer will give Tank 2 types debuffs. Those abilities required tank switch.

For others

This ability is the most important ability in the whole fight. The Butcher will give the largest clump of melee targets one stacks of debuff periodically. They will die if the debuff reach 5 stacks.
First of all, you can not let Boss give this debuff to Tanks. Tanks already have two debuffs (The Cleaver and The Tenderizer). They are not able to endure more debuff. So that you need a team
of player to attract Cleave. The number of people in this team should larger than 3. Let’s call them attracting-team.
However, only one attracting -team is not enough. They will die when they reach 5 stacks of debuff. So you need two attracting-teams to take Cleave alternately. It just like Tank switch.
How can we control Boss to cleave the attracting-team we expected? We need two more people to do this job by changing the number of people in each attracting-team. Remember Butcher always choose the largest clump of melee targets as the target of Cleave. Let’s suppose we have 4 people in each attracting-team and we have two people who’s names are A and B. When A join in attracting-team 1,
the number of people in this team is 5. Boss will cleave attracting-team 1. When A leave attracting-team 1 and B join in attracting-team 2, Boss will cleave attracting-team 2. That is how can we make switch come true.
When Boss reaches 100 energy, he will knock back all melee players and charge to ranged players.
All we need to do is just let everyone and the Boss go back to previous position after charging.

In fact, nobody need to move in the whole fight except A and B (two people who need to adjust the
number of attracting-team). The process of this fight looks very simple.
However, this fight is very hard because the Enrage Timer is five minute. That means the minimum average DPS request is 19,000 per second. If your team can not meet this request, defeating
Butcher is almost impossible for you.

Overview

This picture can show you how you can stand in this fight.

Tanks hold Boss at the center. This fight have very exact request for standing. So Tanks should try to stop any moving of Boss. Protection Warrior can use Heroic Lead to activate Boss without any moving.
Attracting team stand at two side of Boss’ back. A join in Attracting team 1 first. When Attracting team 1 get 3 stacks of debuff, A leaves team 1 and B joins in team 2. Repeating this process until Boss dead.
Tips: If you do not have enough melee DPS to compose 2 Attracting teams, you can also let healers or ranged DPS to do this job.

When the Butcher reaches 30% health remaining, he will Frenzies. That the timing of Bloodlust/Time Warp/Heroism.

In the end
If you and you team tried multiple times and still can not defeat the Butcher, I recommend your try
other Boss first. You can come back for him after improving your item level.
Thank
You!
