Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Generally, Shaman’s minions are relative outstanding and comprehensive that cover many skills. Most of them feature burst AOE like Shaman, while the side effect of overload is an issue that should not be ignored. Substantial AOE, defense, support and card boost are highlights for his minions which offer players a powerful and excellent synergy.

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Dust Devil (Windfury. Overload: 2)

Advantages: It is a strong early game card that offers an burst AOE with only 1 mana cost, so that players could drop it in the early stages and deal a decent output. For example if you are versus Paladin, you can play it in T1 dealing 6 damages in T2, since Paladin has few cards to deal with in T1. Moreover, it could stay alive for a few turns if you couple it with Taunts or cards that could boost HP.

Shortages: Obviously, it is short in HP which could easily be traded or destroyed by enemies or hero power. Overload is another issue that players could not ignore. If Dust Devil is destroyed after you dropped, that would affect both your output and mana in the next turn, leading a negative situation.

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Flametongue Totem (Adjacent minions have +2 Attack.)

Advantages: It is a support which means the best time to use is when you already have at least 2 minions on the field to fully benefit from the spell by placing this card in between them. Thanks to the Windfury, it could enhance AOE of adjacent minions, dealing a deadly strike. Its low mana cost makes players use effectively in any stage and 3 HP help it stay alive in the first few rounds.

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Mana Tide Totem (At the end of your turn, draw a card.)

Advantages: Drawing a card at the end of your turn could make players advantage in cards which are critical for Shaman who is expert in burst AOE. Especially, it can help you easily play a combo. For example, if a 2/2 minion is paired with Rockbiter Weapon and Windfury, it can deal totally 10 damage in this turn. And when paired with Flametongue Totem and Bloodlust, you can deal up to 20 damages with 10 mana in this turn. Therefore, enough cards make burst AOE available.

Shortages: It is good for you to drop it in the mid game. While Shaman has many skills to alternate, players should make a hard choice. That would be better if it can stay alive for few turns. Since it has neither any Attack nor skill, it could be a high priority target of your opponent, before it works. So players should have a deep consideration when drop.

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Unbound Elemental (Whenever you play a card with Overload, gain +1/+1.)

Advantages: It is a development-style minion with 4 mana which could help it last long on the board. It has only 2 Attack, but the Attack will be boosted by overload cards you drop. Since Shaman has many overload cards, boosting seems not very difficult. It could remit many high damage or skills from opponent in the mid and later. When coupled well with other minions such as Windfury, Unbound Elemental could deal a deadly damage.

Shortages: It relies on overload cards you play, and silence can remove all the buffs you added on it.

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Windspeaker (Battlecry: Give a friendly minion Windfury.)

Advantages: As an epic card, Earth Elemental provides both strong defensive and offensive Attack which could help players clean the board in the mid and later. In addition, if players grant him Windfury, it could deal totally 14 damages in one turn which is considered as an end-game strike.

Shortages: Overload.

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Earth Elemental (Taunt. Overload:3)

Advantages: As an epic card, Earth Elemental provides both strong defensive and offensive Attack which could help players clean the board in the mid and later. In addition, if players grant him Windfury, it could deal totally 14 damages in one turn which is considered as an end-game strike.

Shortages: Overload

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Fire Elemental (Battlecry: Deal 3 damage.)

Advantages: It could pass Taunt dealing 3 damages direct to both opponent hero or core minions. Usually it could destroy a minion directly with its high Attack.

Shortages: 6 mana is a little expensive in the later rounds since Shaman has many cards to alternate.

Hearthstone Shaman Exclusive Minions

Al'Akir the Windlord (Windfury, Charge, Divine Shield, Taunt)

Advantages: It is a multi skill card and useful whenever you play. Windfury helps deal totally 6 damages in one turn and 5 HP is not very low for a Taunt. Taunt and Shield offer players a quite strong defense in the later. In order to survive on the board as long as possible, playing this card in conjunction with multi buffs will greatly increase survivability and damage output.

Shortages: The high value will be nothing if your opponent silences the buffs. And Taunt would make it be a priority target for your opponent, stopping you benefiting buffs from it.

Conclusion

These minions offer a high burst AOE and perfect synergy in Hearthstone. If players want to play minion style, board controlling would be very important since Shaman’s high AOE relies on massive minions on the board.

You!
