ArcheAge’s Dev XLGAMES Rumored to Be Restructured
According to a Korean report, ArcheAge's developer, XLGAMES is preparing for restructuring, because they did not meet financial expectations in the Korean market after the massive outlay for its development.
The report said that ArcheAge didn't work well in Korea and influenced XLGAMES's financial situation. The recent siege content was not receiving positive response from the community, along with bugging imbalance issues not solved. The report also claimed that "welfare benefits were suspended since the start of August", with the upcoming company restructure being a massive one. However, this is just a rumor because XLGAMES didn't confirm the restruction yet.
Although ArcheAge didn't receive positive response in Korea, not all XLGAMES's games are gloom. ArcheAge Japan is reportedly receiving positive numbers since it launched in July, 2013. On April 18th, ArcheAge's Chinese publisher Tencent Games started the first test phase and received positive response. And the upcoming Civilization Online has attracted many attentions before launch.
