EverQuest Next Developers Talked About Armor Customization
In the first episode of Round Table Response, 3 members of the EverQuest Next team discussed the freedom you are going to have in terms of the armor & weapon customizations. As a game based on collections, according to creative director Jeff Butler, your armors should be able to kind of tell other players the adventure you've been through, say, a dragon you've slain. There are armor families, which are racially based and represent the particular race's culture, lead designer Darrin McPherson said, and players can "transfer" the look of an armor piece to another armor piece, similar to World of Warcraft's transmogrification feature.
